PV updated GMR to show a Wangan Midnight 3 OST from Yuzo Koshiro.  I don't know how he could possibly top the second one, but I'm intrigued.  http://www.gmronline.com/info.asp?CatNumber=MJCD-20102

Any bets on how long before Goldfish replies to say he doesn't like the Wangan Midnight 2 OST?

Can't wait!

I have better things to do with my time than worry about a shit trance album, thanks.

Any bets on how long it takes someone to respond to that senseless troll scribble above?

I do hope this one takes some cues from the first Wangan OST as opposed to the second, but not the end of the world if it doesn't. Not like the fate of the world hinges on it.

Well stated. The only thing I've heard on the WM ost's that sounds anything like the Yuzo I remember is Jojima Tokita's Theme from the first one. Everything else is utterly generic anime rock or trance tracks that anyone with a software sequencer could whip up. The same goes for his track on the Street Fighter Tribute album. It's the most disappointing track on there. What the hell happened to him?

He's a talented guy, but maybe he's putting food on the table with this stuff...i.e. if that what the music director asks for, he's delivering...I too was disappointed with the SF track, and the previous WM cuts.

Yes, he just gives what the gamesoft production staff asks for.

If you want new material that sounds like the OLD Yuzo, Etrian Odessey is a prime example, so it's not like he's ever lost his touch, but only gets to use it when the opportunity presents itself.

(and just for diversity, did you hear his track on FM SoundModule Maniacs cd, it sounds like an epic Dancing-Mad Nobuo/Sakuraba-prog extravaganza)

Ok now you're teasing, would love to hear that track

Oh - and 'Opuningu Furubajon Densetsu No Uta, Yuukan Narutachi' from Etrian Odessey is top notch..Sounds like FM meets modern sequencers.  Love the pounding 'four on the floor' bass drum intro (very Ys sounding)

Can't wait to order this, I used to play the first Maximum Tune alot and I love the soundtrack to both games, I hope it's as good as those.  Get your head out of your ass GoldfishX, wtf.

So roughly 42 hours and 54 minutes between posts. Not bad. All betters, cash your chips at the door.

And I even said I hope it takes cues from the first Wangan soundtrack and not the second. Not as if I cursed the existence waiting to be put to use by this album's eventually forthcoming.
