in 1992, I used to have japanese neighbors that gave me lots and lots of stuff from rare japanese video game magazines and stuff (including a bunch of rare Sonic the Hedgehog comics that appeared in some weird magazine).

Anyhow, this is a cutout from one of the mags. Anyone know what game it's from?

Thanks
Andy

Curious, both the timing and nature of the graphic would heavily imply a 16-bit RPG, although I suppose it could be a well-colored (or re-colored) 8-bit one.

Updates on the otherwise fantastic RPGClassics have slowed to a crawl, but they tend to have full, graphical enemy galleries for games they have "shrines" for. I'll look through those, see if anything stands out. An enemy of that size and design should be fairly easy to pick out. I might get bored and distracted, though, so I'll give you the link before I embark on my journey.

It know there were other monster pictures that I had with that one, that were from Dragon Quest V. But this one is not from Dragon Quest V. But the it probably was in the same issue as Dragon Quest V when it was released in japan, since this game always previewed videogames beforehand.
