Mine is "Makenai Ai ga Kitto aru" by Yukie Nakama

It was used as the opening theme for Mega Man X4 in Japan.

I like the music used for the overseas opening a lot as well, but I think this was a good fit for the game.

What I really find surprising is I like the non-edited rendition; usually I get use to edited versions used.

Still, I like that this is my favorite because Mega Man X4 is one of my favorite games.

Passion / Sanctuary in KH2.

Preferably Japanese version "Passion."

The in-game intro, and the original music video, are two of my favorite things of all time.

The 2005-2006 New Years special where she performs it with just piano backing until the end is also glorious.

Ganasia's Electrical Communication is upbeat and energetic, I guess. Its the first one came to my mind, anyway. Megaman 8 opening.

All my favorite J-pop is grow anime. Two-mix and Romantic Mode are two bands I used to really dig.

Mine is probably a tie between KH2 and FFX-2 opening sequences.

Perhaps I am making it more complicated than what you were thinking of, but I first removed songs from rhythm games since that opens up the options a lot and second removed songs made just for games so that the pool was only J-Pop songs that a game borrowed for an opening/ending.  After doing that the first song that came to mind for me was "Depend on you" by Ayumi Hamasaki from Thousand Arms.

That's the first one that came to my mind too, but I'll have to think some more and come up with some others.
