Pretty simple topic.  Post where you are in the world.  You don't have to be too specific if you don't want to, just a general area or town name is fine, whatever you feel comfortable with.  I figure this is a pretty easy way to give everyone a better idea of where all us STC crazies come from since I don't think anything like this has ever been asked before.

I live in upstate NY in the good old USA.  To be more specific, I'm just a few miles from Albany, which is the state capital.

I live in a small town called Big Run in PA but I usually say I live near Punxsutawney because most people have heard of the whole Punxsutawney Phil/Weather Capital of the World thing.

I lived most of my life right in the center of London( UK) in this quiet part of town which is quite nice.But I also lived until about 10 in a small town in Portugal called Oledo until my parents's divorce.

I've lived in Yokohama for 24 years.

Not prosperous as Tokyo and Osaka by any means, but the housing cost is relatively lower and it takes only 30 mins to go Shibuya by trains. Since my preferred job has many possible transfers (the officers of taxation bureaus or locals courts), or is located in Tokyo (the officers of Metropolitan Government), however, my future residence is likely to be 'somewhere in the Kanto'.

Melrose, Massachusetts - a suburban town about 10 miles north of Boston. It's just far enough away from the city that I can drive in at almost anytime to go to a bar/club/show/whatever, but it's far enough away so that the town retains its individuality and home-like qualities.

Speaking of London, I really enjoy a magazine called "Monocle" which is published out of London but they have offices in Tokyo, New York, Zurich, and Sydney so the articles are very much of a global pulse.  The articles (and photos) are superb and fantastic, even though the ads are targeted to a high income demographic.

Since the big bang was an explosion of space and didn't happen in space, it's hard to say where I am precisely. I can define my position with respect to something else on the Earth, or with respect to any celestial body. But I can't tell you where I am without some reference point, so I'm really not sure. I know I'm on the Earth, but where is the Earth? It's in the Milky Way galaxy. Where is that? It's in the Universe. Where is that?

I live in Jyväskylä, the middle of nowh... I mean, Finland. A nice, relatively big town (by Finnish standards). At least I like it here. Feel free to drop by if you happen to be in the neighborhood. By jumping aboard a wrong plane or through some other large-scale accident.

Heh, why? Its a very beautiful city (by Swedish standards), and reasonably big (again, by Swedish standards), but I bet most of you live in cooler places anyway. The only thing I dislike about this city is the maritime weather... Rain and strong winds all the freaking time.

Aha. Yeah, metal's pretty big here, and Gothenburg is the center of the "melodic death metal" sound. I'm only a casual metal-fan, and I don't like pop and dance, so I don't usually listen to much Swedish music. With some notable exceptions, of course.
