This is a thread to discuss VGM where there is a lot of breath between notes. I really dig the PC-Engine soundtrack for Götzendiener, which has a much quieter vibe than the arrangement CD release, that does this with synth notes: Stage 1 music. Body Harvest [N64] also has music in similar effect where piano notes are sprinkled in and the brass waits. This is a track that exemplifies all that that plays in the game: "Calm 5". As of recent game soundtracks Zelda: BOTW main theme also has an element of sparseness to it.
How many music tracks out there are like this? What are your thoughts on the attack and decay of notes in music, especially of piano notes versus synth notes?
