Tough to say. I for one have never been able the notice the difference in the audio quality, though when I heard the old Xenosaga OST (DigiCube print) it was as 192kbps mp3s, whereas I had the CD Audio for XS Episode I.

To me, two bonus tracks makes it worth it. I'd go for the Sleigh Bells/Procyon print.

The Sleigh Bells version is shit.  The mastering is terrible.  Go with the original version if you can find it.

That's odd, you think Mitsuda's own company would do justice to his work (or his work justuce - I can't remember the saying!)...

I don't think it's a matter of "doing justice" - Procyon Studio is a pretty small operation, while DigiCube was comparatively a juggernaut. It's no surprise at all to me that DigiCube would have better recording/mastering equipment than Procyon.

True, I guess I wasn't considering the whole spectrum of circumstances

The part that doesn't make sense, at least to me, is why only this particular Sleigh Bells CD has such poor recording/mastering quality.  Other Sleigh Bells releases, both before and after this one, have no such issues.

Maybe it's the recording quality also used in-game or something?

Zane May 7, 2007

I think they both sound like crap. Zing.

OGM UR S0 PHUNNY!!!!11.  To be fair though, Xenosaga was pretty much a letdown.  Xenogears all the way, bitches!

I own the Sleigh Bells release of Xenosaga by the way, and I don't hear anything wrong with it.  Plus, I own every other Sleigh Bells release so my collection would suck without it.

I enjoy Xenogears a lot more than anything from Xenosaga, but they're two completely different entities if nothing else.

Agreed, apples & oranges.
