!

But, will it be in English?  And is it different from the Ys Eternal Story for PS2?  To be very honest, I'm honestly considering buying the game and a Japanese/English dictionary to play through it with.  I LOVED Ark of Napishtim, it's one of the best PS2 experiences I've had... one where there was almost NOTHING to complain about.  To play another Ys game (or two) is something I'd look very forward to.

I can say without a doubt in my mind these are going to be extremely mediocre, if not outright terrible.

With the virtual console release of the Turbo Duo version of I and II presumably nearly here, it's really hard to be excited about yet another remake that probably won't best it.

I personally prefer remakes because

a)they improve on an already good product, and I view them as an upgraded version
b)they're tangible, which is something that virtual games never will be

so those two issues are big with me, and I too am excited about an updated Ys I&II, although I WISH we could get more than just a DS version (ie small screens do get annoying!

"Have you played Oath in Felghana or Ys Origin yet? Those are really similar to Ys VI."

No, I've read a lot about them (especially Felghana,) but unfortunately my PC is the exact opposite of a 'gaming rig,' so I doubt I'll be able to get a chance to play them.  I was hoping Konami would follow up its excellent port of VI with Felghana, but I'm guessing Napishtim didn't do so hot (for Chrissake, the limited version is still easy to find new and its been almost two years!), so thats probably not going to happen. :-(

Its so ironic too, because I remember buying Ys III for the SNES many, many years ago and HATING it, so I'm glad it wasn't indicative of the series as a whole!
