Take it or leave it--apparently many people choose the latter--but I love Disney's Robin Hood. It's probably due in great part to personal bias, as it was my favorite movie as a young child, but for me it still holds up today.
Apparently some childhood memories have escaped me--I don't remember doing this, but I'm often told as to how I woke up my father in the middle of the night while staying in a vacation condo, and whispered "tonight, we're busting out of here." One holdover I do remember is that when I brushed my teeth, the sound of the bristles scrubbing my fangs reminded me of the funky escape music (I wish I could explain how those two sound alike, but alas).
And finally the relevant point emerges!
I'm interested in the film's score. A lot of little pieces stuck with me, many of which I didn't realize were from Robin Hood until I picked up the November DVD release. Unfortunately, as best I can tell, there was never a CD release of the soundtrack/score. There seems to have been an audio cassette release (thought it might have only been the songs), and an LP back in '74 (which contained the entire score). Since I don't have much hope of catching either one of those (let alone access to a player for either), I was wondering if any film score/Disney buffs might know of a digital recording resting on the 'net somewhere. Any offering, big or small, would be very much appreciated.
