Could be, but then project will be funded and that's all that matters. Especially when nowadays stretch goals seems to really push the project to be late or run out of money.
Is that really true (not being antagonistic, just asking a question)? I can see some crazy stretch goals as pushing a project too far, but you would hope that most developers have a decent idea of how much it will take to add this or that. To be honest, stretch goals are often really wonderful. For example, I think that Divinity Original Sin will be amazing, and a large part of that is that they reached the $million mark and were able to reach all their stretch goals. As for taking more time due to stretch goals, I think that's basically a given. But...since you're getting (hopefully) a MUCH better game in the end, isn't it worth the wait?
