Less than $6,000 to go on Unsung Story! Might be close, but I think it's going to make it. Pretty excited to see what happens!

Hooray, it made it. GIEV MEH MAH PHYSICAL
Well that is one hell of a push... not sure how they managed that. I'm still not sold on the game entirely, but anyone willing to put in for a(n extra) physical cd add-on? =P

Unfortunately, you can only get one extra physical copy of the game. So, I pledged $20 for a digital copy (I'll probably give that to someone as a present) and added a physical copy for myself. Of course if you live overseas that's an extra $15... but hopefully the game will be great. I'm glad they decided to release a physical version of the game, and perhaps that is what really got them through.
Actually, I meant the soundtrack. $10 for the physical soundtrack seems a good price, but still no idea if Sakimoto is doing it in its entirety.
So, another project pulling in veteran Japanese staff: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iq … nture-game
Pulling in staff from Snatcher, I have to say I'm a sucker for vintage Konami. I'm not that impressed with the WIP theme from Furukawa they put up, though.
For adventure game fans, "The Book of Unwritten Tales 2" looks tops!
Outcast Reboot
Outcast was an amazing game and this is one Kickstarter I will definitely support. I remember being gutted when the sequel was cancelled many years ago. If this does well, we may yet see that happen some time.

Good to hear! Which tier did you pledge, if I may ask?
I can't believe no one has mentioned the damn Shaq-Fu game. If you pledge $35,000 Shaq will personally DJ a party at your house man!
If I had $35,000 I rather spend it on other things....
Check out Pixel Noir. Excellent music and a Super Mario RPG style battle system:
"Adventures of Pip is the story of Pip, a single pixel with the power to absorb the pixels of fallen enemies and evolve into a powerful hero!"
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ti … res-of-pip
I like the concept, has anybody done that before? (I know there've been games where you can absorb fallen enemies' powers, but their pixels?)
Harmonix launched a Kickstarter for a new Amplitude game. It would be good to see them release another old school rhythm game so I backed it.

Check out Shiness. Art, animation, and especially the music are lovely. This looks way too ambitious for the mere $100,000 they're asking for:

InSomnia - An RPG Set in a Brutal Dieselpunk Universe
Really reminds me of the first Fallout games (that's a compliment)! Game has a downloadable playable demo!

Looks like a winner, and they have some wonderful rewards (including reasonably priced physical copies with soundtrack and artbook)! Support!
I stayed away from kickstarter for a while to make sure I didn't spend more money, but recent browsing turned up InSomnia as avatar noted, which is pretty likely to hit it's goal, though the episodic nature of the content is slightly a pause for concern.
I also saw a game that I thought had a cool concept: For My Brother. It's gotten buried in the sorting, and the goal is probably set too high, either way it would need a big push. =\

can you believe it? just about 3 grand for potato salad. i'm surprised kickstarter allowed this haha

Uh, it's up to $10,000 now! His goal was $10, and now he has $10,000. I will never understand people. Nope, never. People paying to have someone else make potato salad.
On slightly less asinine grounds, For My Brother looks great

However, I doubt that they will make their $150,000 goal (they're at less than $30,000 with 14 days to go).
Are you agreeing with me or did you not see it? I can only hope they rally back if it ends unsuccessful.
Also, in depressing kickstarter news: Mighty No.9 is fundraising again after already pulling in more than $4,000,000 with the initial kickstarter...

I'm agreeing with you. Where and why are Mighty No. 9 fundraising once more?
It's on the main site, just full english voice acting announced so far... but 100k and nowhere near that so far. I know it's more than simply recording the dialog, but it's not like voice actors are going to be paid that much for a project like this, so I would think they could find that money in the money they already raised. I backed the game, but now I find myself asking whether it can be as good as Shovel Knight.
Good grief...

Oh, and incorrect math done by "journalist" Stefanie Tuder. This guy basically made a "profit" of 370,000% on potato salad! I suppose soon someone will kickstart burger and fries...

I know I'm just dreaming for a chance to replenish some faith in humanity, but it'd be a great twist ending to this story if the guy pulls the plug on the project before the funding deadline because the joke has gone too far.

Just saw this. I'm sorry but I think people gave Infanue enough money already.
Additionally, am I the only one that thinks it's a little, well, stupid to already be producing an anime series on this game? I mean we have no idea of this game is going to be successful or not... I know Infanue has a pretty good track record but talk about counting your chickens before they are hatched.
