Whoah...

Not complaining, but couldn't you just invest in some kind of crate/flight case for your collection?

When I see one of the die-hards letting go of such treasures I feel compelled to make sure it's for the right reasons big_smile

Yeah, but you ever seen a really good solution to archiving a large media collection? The cost of archival quality sleeves and/or any kind of storage/shelving that holds more than 100 CDs is ridiculous.

Where are you moving to? I was hoping to hear an update on the war between you and the spiders smile

By the way I have purchased from Jodo in the past, and everything has always been superb!

Curious question here.

I'm not 100% sure, but wouldn't Lost Child Side-Z be worth more than sides A and B? Side Z was an enclosure in a limited box set, right?

I paid a lot less for Side Z, so the price is lower.

Not sure yet. I'm setting things up to minimize my physical objects and I'm going to retain my condo and rent it out. Despite the warmer than usual weather, I've only seen a couple of brown recluses this year. I've seen other kinds of spiders, which is a very good sign. It shows that the brown recluses aren't at the top of the food chain and something, at least, is hunting them.

Oh, okay. It was the exact opposite for me. Side Z cost me a few times more than A and B.

If this is the stuff you're selling, the albums you're keeping must be *really* good smile

Ramza Mar 23, 2016

I'm super bummed about you selling so much of your collection, Jodo. Sometimes I find comfort in the idea that in various spots all around the world, there are people with huge shelves full of amazing musical treasures.

I've sold off portions of my collection before, but I don't think I've ever been below 40 soundtracks (except, of course, when I started collecting and had to work up to 40). Currently I'm at like, 200+ in physicals. It's a little excessive, but I like what I have.

But at those price points, you're certainly tempting me...... But I still don't feel right about it! Keep 'em!!

There's still a few of us left standing...I'm dedicated to cycling through each physical album I own at least once this year and I'm about 1/3 of the way done. And this includes albums I refuse to sell because they have virtually zero demand and it would be hard to give them away. My problem is I'm torn between buying fresh stuff and replacing stuff I sold off years ago. In this case though, I definitely veered towards "fresh"...:)

Thank you!

Yeah I agree.  There's near zero demand for most of the stuff we own and whenever I see someone posting a liquidation sale or getting rid of everything they own because <life event>, I reflect on what I own and what I would do if that was me.  I just don't think there would be any point, I'd end up being able to get rid of maybe 25% of the stuff I have and well below cost (or a smaller percentage if I'm unwilling to negotiate), borderline giving away, which just seems pointless.  So it keeps growing wink  Stay strong, fellow vgm collectors smile

I've actually circled back to VGM after doing games themselves for a few years. I've gotten more into music in so I started to pick up soundtracks these days.

I got Final Fantasy IV~VI on the way plus the two Chrono soundtracks. I want to nab more FF and Star Ocean in the coming months.

As jb said, there's fewer of us but we're still here.

Would you tell me if these are complete, if not, what's missing?

- Akumajo Dracula Famicom Best
- KONAMI GM HITS FACTORY I
- KONAMI GM HITS FACTORY II
- The Konamic Game Freaks

Thanks smile

Not that he needs positive feedback after literally decades of all good transactions...

But I got ... 7 soundtracks from JK, all in immaculate condition (one was new/sealed, I don't think he realized!), great prices, arrived crazy-fast.

I grieve the loss of your collection, but I shall honor you by caring for Brandish Piano and the other fine albums I've purchased from you this day!!

Ditto! I believe the Falcom Special Box 89 I bought is 100% complete...it even had the sticker sheet! This thing is too sleak.

Thank you sir!

Oh man, original FSB'89 with the stickers. I had that when I was in high school. I treasured that thing, even with the inconvenience of six of those damned 8cm CDs (my CD player as a kid was one of those "load 3 CDs and we'll rotate them around," so I could only have half of '89 in at a time).

What a great item to have, and in complete condition! I was tempted to pick up '90 and '92, those are my fav FSBs, I miss them dearly.

Got my CDs as well, just as described. Thanks for helping me close some of the larger holes in my want list.

I concur. Received my stuff today. Everything packed with care (until nice fellas at the customs had decided to take a look at the suspiciously too large a box to contain just five albums, after which it was messed up). As many before me have said, sad to see a collector having to give up on the hobby, but at least many of the albums have found new, loving homes. I wish I could've helped more. You people who still like your albums in the form of discs, grab your rarities now while it's still possible.

Thanks, Jodo <3

I didn't bother initially since I kind of assumed the same thing but it bears mentioning that as always super pleasant transactions. That's one thing about selling to us here on STC that I always appreciate, even when life circumstances change and you collection ends up going to people on STC you know that these albums will be well loved as you so loved them yourself. Cheers man.
