I tried the premium person but he said he couldn't get stuff that was out of print........who do you all use or recommend?

Ramza Sep 21, 2008

Jerold if you can get ahold of him. otherwise shoppingmalljapan.com

I use and have used Jerold as my break-glass-candidate for a couple years now when I really can't find what I'm looking for anywhere but Yahoo J Auction. His fees are probably standard (doesn't gouge, IMO) and he pulls through professionally. Sometimes you have to prod him to give you a status on your goods though -- which take their time getting to your mailbox (I've had to wait a couple months at times).

Yeah Jerold can be slow, but he's basically doing it as a favor to us. He hardly makes money on it. He's a really good guy IMO.

Maybe not off of you, but I do almost monthly business with him. big_smile I use his service to buy stuff from webshops for cheaper than using any other proxy services (y'know the kind, the ones that will place an order for you but charge $5 per item you order on top of their ordinary surcharges). His fees are fine with me, like with vgmworld and otaku.com I don't mind paying a little extra for great service. Kinda surprised you guys think he's a bit slow to respond. I've almost never had to wait more than 2 days for a response and the turnaround time from order-to-mailbox is usually 3 weeks (sometimes less depending on the store). That's pretty damn good in my book.

Like everyone else said Jerold is awesome.  He's gotten me stuff on YJA as well as other webshops.  I remember back in the day when I was playing PSO on GCN he actually got me a couple of ASCII keyboard controllers for a reasonable price.  I emailed him not too long ago about something and he was very prompt to reply.

For the record, Jerold's email response time is prompt. Waiting for the goods is really just the natural order of the postal services; specifically the time he gets the item you ordered from the seller and the time he takes to get it to you (ships it EMS, too). There's not a damn thing you can do to expedite that.
