Anyone heard this ?

It's labelled as an Original Soundtrack yet it seems to have live intruments.

So is this a PC Engine Redbook collection like Dracula X or is it actually an arranged CD ?

Aside the short duration, should I expect this album to "rock my socks" ?

It's been sitting at VGM World for so long so I finally snapped it up along with the 1st Konami Shooting Battle album Given there is a 50% off sale going on for used items, why not make the best of it ?

10 VGM albums was too little, 15 is too much. So I've sliced off a couple of my normal CDs to make way for these two. So Boston and Van Halen are getting the boot afterall.  Since I've been collecting VGM for 12 years, it's only fitting I get 12 VGM albums. So those and the two classical guitar albums by Bruno Jacques Pelletier plus Judas Priest for my metal fix should make things pleasant !

So yeah, any comments/strong points of the mystery album above would be appreciated.

I really don't get this at all.  How is 15 too much?  If you have 15 albums that are all excellent or even just very good why not keep them?  If 23 then why not those extra 8 too?  It seems ridiculous to limit your collection to some arbitrary number just for the sake of doing it.

It's not really OCD tho. I'm just making things easier for myself in the long run. Less items to pack when I'd need to move out.

Here is how things are currently:

15 CDs

15 DVDs

10 Books

2 Tarantulas - Mexican Fireleg (B. boehmei) and Redknee (B. smithi) (Eventually, 3 more will be added and that will be it. I said to myself that I'd stick to the Brachypelma genus sice they remain fairly small) My choices for the last three are already decided : Honduras Curly Hair (B. albopilosum) (for the constant bad hair day appearance), Mexican Red Rump (B. vagans) (for attitude) and Mexican Redleg (B. emilia) (for super-long lifespan). All are available year round and not too expensive so I can pick them up as +1 inchers whenever I'd wish.

I really do not need more than that. It's better to have a limited collection instead of a larger number which many are hardly used and merely gather dust and occupy space for the sake of it.

Does that make some sort of sense ?

That was an accident. While moving albums to the sale list, a few got over that I didn't want to sell. Fire Pro Wrestling has been removed and is not for sale. Fire Pro Wrestling 2 is for sale, though.

Really good album, especially if you like Yuzo Hayashi's other stuff. He tends to blend a lot of styles in the jazz-rock vein and of course, lots of sax and guitar duels and solos by his regular session players. Arrangements are true to the original PCE music too which results in a fun, 80's sounding album, energetic and synthy with some tasty live instruments thrown in. Had a chance to grab it digitally via a trade probably 10 years ago and it really grew on me last year (finally!).
