Got this game today. It is like something straight out of Adult Swim. It seems like the most intense music game out there. Unlike most music games the hitbox is smack in the center of the screen. This allows various buttons to fly in and out of the screen from 4 directions. You use the circle button to connect with little circles that fly in and out of the screen. Then there is the additional left thumbstick which you use to follow the line the circles that you hold down make.

Very fun game from Koei. The only problem I have is that my right thumb starts to hurt from playing this. The PS2 buttons just aren't that push friendly when it comes to unrelenting button tapping. Can't wait to try versus mode.

11 years later, and Flyin' to Your Heart is still stuck in my head.

Awesome soundtrack, but WAY too hard for me.
I'm not good at rhythm games in the first place, but this one seemed especially hard to me.

'Bee' Jam Blues, baby.

Definitely one of my favorite rhythm games, up there with Bust A Groove, PaRappa/Lammy, Mad Maestro, Ouendan, etc.  And such an excellent soundtrack!  I tend to be really good at rhythm games but the difficulty on this one is high even for me, especially the last few stages.  Luckily the game is forgiving enough to let you clear a song even if you perform rather horribly.  Also worth noting is that this was the first game developed by iNiS, who later went on to make the Ouendan / Elite Beat Agents trilogy.

Wow, I didn't know that.  I guess that explains why the Ouendan games were so awesome.

I could never pass Born to Be Bone on the hardest difficulty.  About 90% of the time, I would fail (or be very close to failing) during the heavy dodge phase at the beginning.  I made it to the final solo once, and screwed up about five seconds from the end.  Try as I might, I could never get better at that stage.

Really?  Your past posts in threads such as this and this seemed to indicate you had an inkling of who Keiichi Yano and iNiS were.
