The little melody that repeats at the beginning of the Ruins track sure does remind me of something.  I think it might be Insector X.  I feel like the track is going to develop a certain way and it doesn't.

It's crazy how the title theme has a total change of style halfway through.  But yeah, the score sounds pretty epic all around.  I'll need to check out the game sometime since I hear it's the best one of the series.  I'm definitely a fan of the arcade original.
