It's worth noting that that's a character song and talk album; if you want the actual soundtrack to Hakuouki, that's KDSD-00233.
Yeah I was about to say the same thing. The album recommended to you is probably only done so because it's a new Team Entertainment release. Hakuoki etcetc is just another of many generic graphic adventure / digital novels published by Idea Factory (or is this another Vingt et Un?).
In any case, yeah, it's a vocal album. The OST is probably your better bet.

I didn't think that anyone even considers those computer-generated "recommendation systems", as people should know by now it's just an algorithm making a desperate attempt at something relevant...

Actually at least once the rep engine at Amazon pointed me to something I didn't know about that I ended up buying...
I have this album and rather enjoy it. There are two vocal songs and the rest is BGM. Bought it cause I'm a Shinsengumi fan. I'll try and give it another listen on the weekend and give you a better review. I'm going on 4 hours sleep so everything blurs together.

Actually, I have to agree... most of the things I buy I already have my mind set on from seeing/hearing them before hand. Usually delete recommendation-like e-mail so I don't spend any more money than I already have and they usually have no-brainer suggestions/items I've previously acquired.
As far as being informed to new releases, I get most of that info here - like the impending release of the Rockman artbooks. Never would have bothered or found those myself on amazon because as far as music and games go, I'm pretty set on Mega Man so I'd have no reason to search any related terms.

I actually spend some time plugging my tastes and preferences into Amazon's recommendations wizard, and I actually get some pretty good recommendations; that's a shitton of music I wouldn't have ever discovered if I hadn't done that.
