The Daver Mar 8, 2021 (edited Mar 8, 2021)

Much like everything else, my portable headphones died in 2020.

Here's what I used to have: … headphones

What you call "Behind the Neck" or "Behind the Ear" headphones, that particular model by Philips.

They were the best headphones that a living or non-living being or non-being could possibly ask or not ask for.
Very comfortable to wear, good sound.

Having difficulty finding a replacement for them, that is to say, another pair of "Behind the Neck" headphones.

I've looked at ALL the manufacturers websites I know of, but I can't find a single equivalent!

Even looked at the Philips website - they don't even seem to manufacture that style at all any more!

Sony: … headphones

Here's my search off of Amazon: … nb_sb_noss

Mostly just cheap junk by off brands.

If I wanted earbuds (I DON'T because I find them painful to wear, and they don't even stay in my ears anyway), they're all over the market, but I don't want earbuds. I hate earbuds. Why or how anyone else buys them or can possibly stand them, I don't know, but that's not the point of this discussion.

And no, I don't want wireless headphones that have to be powered by (a) battery/batteries, either, rechargeable or not.

I'm a WIRED headphones man.

Can someone PLEASE help me find a decent pair of "Behind the Neck" headphones?

Yeah I know what you mean, I've had those in the past, but it seems they're a relic of the 80s and 90s. I've been a long-time user of Koss headphones, specifically Koss UR-15c. It's technically discontinued, but there's some on Ebay. It's not quite the type you're talking about but they're really good.
