I've heard about Mario Kart 64, Paper Mario, Yoshi's Story, Super Smash Bros. 64, and many other Nintendo 64 titles that have soundtracks, but have never seen them. If you have any info please tell me! Also if you have any info on getting Animal Forest for the N64 tell me as well. Thanks.

Refer to the rest of Scitron/Pony Canyon's "Nintendo 64 Sound Series" for some first and second party soundtracks.

PCCG-00357    Super Mario 64 Original Soundtrack
PCCG-00419    Mario Kart 64 Original Soundtrack
PCCG-00421    Star Fox 64 Original Soundtrack
PCCG-00425    Wave Race 64 Original Soundtrack
PCCG-00438    Yoshi's Story Original Soundtrack
PCCG-00448    Diddy Kong Racing Original Soundtrack
PCCG-00454    1080 Snowboarding Original Soundtrack
PCCG-00459    F-ZERO X Original Sound Track
PCCG-00475      The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time Original Soundtrack
PCCG-00486      Big Adventures of Banjo & Kazooie Original Soundtrack

Or you can check out some of King Record's discography as they've published many works by Konami (a good time to plug both fantastic Ganbare Goemon soundtracks even if the Derodero Obake Tenkomori lacked a great deal of music from the game)...

Lastly, if you're not sure, enter a game in G.M.R.'s definitive database but be mindful of Japanese names for games when searching.

Don't forget Wonder Project J2~

I wish Rakuga Kids had an OST, and not just a few tracks on one of Konami's assortment CDs sad

Other Nintendo 64 CDs that are floating around out there, though a lot of them are pretty rare:

Commercially released:
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (very incomplete but with arranged tracks... Europe only, I think?)
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask PICA-2006

Then there's the set of Enterbrain CDs which were impossible to get hold of back in the day, and are probably even rarer now... (some of these definitely go for high prices in Akihabara)

Mario Tennis 64 FMCN-1001
Mario Story (Paper Mario) FMCN-1002
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Orchestrations FMCN-1003
Mario Party 3 GACR-3004~5

There was also a promo CD released for Conker's Bad Fur Day, but that's probably insanely hard to find these days.

Are you interested in just first party albums or albums from all N64 games?  There are tons out there if that is the case.

The absolute best N64 album is N64 Millennium Trax released by Nintendo of Europe in Germany. It gathers almost all of their bonus remixes from the European N64 soundtracks on one CD, and while the opening may be really cheesy, the rest of the album is really great.

It has dance and techno music in genres I can't really name,  but also a couple of absolutely fantastic-sounding orchestral type arrangements from Lylat Wars / Starfox 64. Highlights besides them include Brodelvulkan, an ethnic-sounding techno piece, and an ambient trance "Waldtempel" remix from Zelda Ocarina of Time. I think something similar was released in the US, actually, but that CD wasn't as good as Millennium Trax. Really worth seeking out if you like dance/techno at all.

All N64 games.

Violence Killer Original Soundtrack [MJCA-00063] is the soundtrack to Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. According to GMR it 'contains higher-quality composition and synth from the original game music' so it isn't exactly 'original soundtrack'.

Princess-Isabela Feb 16, 2006

actually you're wrong echo.
there are many people confused about quality of the ost and actual N64 music.
the answer is very simple - this is OST from Turok 2 - but from the pc-cd rom edition - which had same soundtrack but in slightly higher quality since game had audio tracks(redbook) written on cd.
its a great soundtrack.

Please don't imply that redbook impies better sound, as it doesn't.

I don't know how true that is...  Turok 2's OST was 100% faithful, composition-wise, to the in-game N64 music.  There are no differences between the samples used in the game and in the soundtrack.  Of course, the N64 version's music was compressed (which was remedied by the CD), but it was still high-quality.

I didnt imply that, I meant that Turok 2 on pc had crispier sound because cd contained audio tracks(as we all know cart has very limited capacity), and while ost on N64 and PC is the same as a whole - soundtrack from pc sounds a bit better, and thats why you hear this particular "version" on original st.
