Anyone saw this yet? Probably the funniest movie I've seen this year. One scene had me laughing so hard I was in tears and almost had to step outside. 10 minutes later I was still laughing. For those who have seen it already, I'll post the scene below that had me laughing so hard as not to spoil it for the rest.

The first sex scene.

Haven't seen it yet, but plan to smile
I think I wouldn't mind having a girlfriend who's a superhero!  Of course, if she gets pissed, you're in trouble...but that seems to be the case even with "normal" girfriends...

I don't know. The premise sort of offends me. I can't help but think that if the genders were reversed it wouldn't be sold as a comedy. It'd be more like a typical what-will-she-do-he's-going-to-kill-her-because-she's-leaving-him sort of thriller. Instead the intended reaction is more gwar-har-his-ass-is-toast-and-he-probably-deserves-it.
Maybe I'm alone here, but I'm tired of Hollywood's casual assumption that guys-suffering-by-a-woman's-hand is uniformly hilarious and the reverse is uniformly horrifying. It feels like subliminal misandry. Needless to say, I'll pass.

Besides, I'm not exactly a fan of Uma Thurman.

Well, you might have a point.  However, my view is "don't diss it until you try it".  Besides, I think this is meant to be a brainless comedy.

This came out the same day as Clerks II.

I don't even think there's any competition.

I may have to see that...it's directed by Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters, and a ton of other stuff...)  On a side note, I just watched Heavy Metal....great soundtrack...

Don't worry, man. We're takin' it back.

I thought this movie was great, I heard it only got one and a half stars but I enjoyed it. Reitman knows what he's doing.

Oh and the mini-Neptune bit was really cool too.
