Being in a situation where I can listen to music while doing something else, I popped the Square Vocal Collections CD into my stereo. And hooo....whoever sang "9 Times" really should NOT have done so. I couldn't understand what the guy was saying without looking at the lyrics sheet. I even thought he was saying "Make time" at first. It was so bad, it was hilarious. Otherwise, the CD is really beautiful.

Reminds me of the DDR version of "Hot Limit"

;)

You know... where even as you're reading the lyric sheet, you can't figure out what the guy's saying.

For the longest time a friend of mine thought he was singing in Japanese before I pointed out some of the English lyrics. The really strange part is the singer is Italian, so I don't know why my friend even thought it was in Japanese in the first place. But, yeah, it's mostly unintelligible and illogical. How can a "mysterious mermaid" be barefoot?

Anyway, I don't think Koda Kumi should have tried "Real Emotion" in English. Heck, I wish she hadn't recorded the Japanese version either.

ETA: Whoops, I knew I'd get her name wrong.

It can't be as bad as Koda Kumi's english version of "1000 words".
