Does anyone have this CD?  I was interested in finding it.  I'm curious how much you guys paid for it and how much it is worth.  Thanks.

How much is it worth in monetary value, or..... musical value?  I have no idea how much money it could fetch nowadays, but I did buy the original NTT Publishing pressing back in '94 for $22 USD.   Musically, it really surprises me on the occasions when I pop it in for a listen.  It's a quaint, but solid soundtrack that's held up incredibly well.  To me, it makes for a more satisfying listen than most of the three/four disc RPG scores of recent years.

The battle themes are of particular worth, but it's "Shrine of Light" that's waxes true sentimental nostalgia for me.

I always felt that the music was bogged down by the quality of the game. Take away the game and you have a pretty solid soundtrack. While the town themes are basically just variations on a theme, the battle tracks are very catchy and the dungeon tracks are a great bunch (especially "Last Castle." What a track).

Sasai did great work on the underrated "Rudora no Hihou" as well.

Yeah, Mystic Quest is an excellent OST, especially the rockin' arranged tracks.  I have no idea how much it goes for these days though.
