This thread is for any random VGM related question (that isn't particularly deserving of it's own thread).

I'll break the ice with this Q...  I was thinkin' about it this morning...  Developer sound teams:

Konami = Kukeiha Club
Falcom = Zuntata
Capcom = Alph Lyra
Namco = (can't remember for the life of me...)
Are there others as well?

Zaggart Aug 8, 2006

Namco=Sampling Masters
Data East=Gamadelic
Hudson=T's Music?

Dude, this went all wrong. This is how it should've been:

Falcom = jdk
Taitô = Zuntata

Apologies accepted tongue

Falcom = Sound Team J.D.K. Taito = Zuntata. I'm sure you knew that though.

Yeah, I did... but I forgot... :?

Don't forget:

Sega = SST Band

As for Konami, I think that Kukeiha Club is related to, but not quite the same as, Konami's sound team.  The reason I say that is that there two albums called Kukeiha Club and Konami Kukeiha Club Best  Vols. 1 and 2, so there is some distinction   made between the two.  Maybe it is Konami's in-house band, but they were allowed to do their own side projects (like Hope).

Nemo Aug 8, 2006

Konami Kukeiha Club is the in-house sound programmers and Kukeiha Club is the 3-piece band.

Smeg Aug 8, 2006

I really doubt that's a factual distinction. The guys in the band are all Konami composers too.

Nemo Aug 8, 2006

I didn't say the two are mutually exclusive, I'm just clarifying the labels.

Smeg Aug 8, 2006

And I'm just asking for definitive proof. This is a new one by me and it sounds dubious.

Also Wavemaster, correct?

SNK = Neo Sound Orchestra
Genki = Doesn't have their own sound team as far as I know but T's Music did the soundtrack for Super Magnetic Neo on the Dreamcast and some work on the Shutokou Battle soundtracks. I wish I could get translations of the names of all the teams Genki had on the Shutokou Battle soundtracks. Another one of them was Rock n' Banana.

What is involved in extracting ADX files from Dreamcast games? Can a lamer like myself do it? What is needed other than the serial cable?

Has anyone bought the King Records release of the Tales of Symphonia soundtrack?  I have no idea where to find it...

I had another question, but I forgot what it was...  It'll come to me.

EDIT:  I remember now:

2).  Do the 10 disks included in that Famicom Game Sound Museum Collection come in their own individual jewelcases?  Or do they come in sleeves?

Thanks.

I bought mine here and it's still in stock: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-8l- … 0-btu.html

Keep in mind that the King Records version is the re-issue as DigiCube did the original pressing.
