I finally rode Kingda Ka at Great Adventures the other day.  Gotta admit, looking at that 450+ foot tall coaster in person completely unnerved me, and that launching (extreme) burst of speed to begin the climb was madness.... but the drop is one hell of an experience I won't soon forget.

Also rode the new El Toro, which was a lot of fun, too - and I actually enjoyed it more for its more innovative design and awesome airtime.

Me wanna go!  I went to Busch Gardens for my yearly roller coaster trip.  My favorite ride so far is Super Man Ride of Steel at 6 Flags, although I really enjoyed Apollo's Chariot at BG.  I'm guessing KK is even better, but it's hard to say.  I'll have to try it out at some point...

cheers,

I never did get to check out Superman Ride of Steel, unfortunately -- or the Batman ride, for that matter.    I do remember BG's Apollo's Chariot, though; my brother forced me onto it when I was twelve, and it scared me shitless.  I hated him for it since.

I've always had a soft spot for Disney World's Space Mountain.  It was my first coaster experience, and while it's certainly tame, it still makes for a cozy lil' adrenaline rush.
