Lots of good stuff coming on the gaming front, first and foremost being the title I've been waiting for the better part of three years: Okami!  Can't believe it's been pushed back to the 19th, though.  Still, that'd give me ample time to check out Yakuza and Lego Star Wars II, not to mention Mega Man ZY.  May save Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, Mario Hoops 3 on 3, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis for a later time.

I'm ridiculously tempted to pick up that eight-disc Metal Slug Complete Sound Box -- but not nearly as much as the Gyakuten Saiban Orchestra Album.  Does Tanomi.com ship outside of Japan?

I'll probably just grab the Phoenix Wright disc this month. Nothing else really grabs me, not enough time for a new game... so, yeah. PW FTFW. smile

Wanderer Sep 1, 2006 (edited Sep 1, 2006)

I'm still working on older games so probably no purchases for me. Paper Mario 2 is my current addiction.

Most of my income is spent on movies and furthering my career (AKA buying opera vocal scores).

I might get Xenosaga III if I can scrape up the money.

Ryu Sep 1, 2006

Lego Star Wars II for the GCN, Smallville Season 5, Supernatural Season 1, and the US uncut/uncensored Whose Line is it Anyway? Volume 1... although if I can rent the latter I'd probably do that.  I'm just curious what would be so special that it would prompt two releases, a family and uncensored versions.

I can't get interested in Okami, so I'm just going to rent it from Gamefly, along with the 360 Samurai Warriors 2 and Just Cause.

After numerous delays and much strong-arming, Amazon is promising me that the original Phoenix Wright will finally be arriving in my hands this month. Aside from that, I'm planning on Samurai Warriors 2 and possibly Okami.

On the music front, as a Philippine-born American, I feel it's my civic duty to get Dance Dance Philippine! "Otso Otso" is absolute cheese, but I miss the motherland. Speed Buyuden and Trance Paradise presents Cover Trance round out the list.

Strangely enough, there are no DVDs that I want this month, which is probably for the best. The upcoming holiday season scares me, so I better start saving up now.

PeteV Sep 1, 2006 (edited Sep 5, 2006)

CDs:

Legend of Heroes Sora no Kiseki FC & SC Super Arrange Version
Front Mission Online Original Soundtrack
Final Fantasy III Original Soundtrack
Goku Makaimura Original Soundtrack

Games:

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS)

I'll probably buy Valkyrie Profile 2, Baten Kaitos Origins, and Okami eventually (when they go down in price).

That Phoenix Wright disc sounds promising, as does Yakuza, Okami, Lego Star Wars 2 (Finally got around to playing the first one!), and Megaman ZX.

My friend, Marc, and I were planning to dress up as members of the yakuza for the release date of the eponymous game. I'd slick back my hair, and all that, get an ink dragon tatoo, and carry a concealed weapon, maybe a mock katana, or a gun of some sort. Of course, budget constraints for this month have made me consider moving this plan up for either Halloween, or next year's Otafest.

You, my friend, have just won Best Cosplay Idea.  You simply HAVE to send me a photo of yourselves when you do this.  ^_^

VALKYRIE PROFILE 2: SILMERIA!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111 *cough*

...also, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Baten Kaitos: Origins
um... hm.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team ...probably the red GBA one as well.  Any idea if bonus stuff happens if you have them both in the DS at the same time?
Also, probably Rule of Rose and DDR Supernova
*wallet whimpers* :\

edit: oh yeah, and I really should pick up the FF3DS OST.

You know, when I read this, I was about ready to go in a total catatonic shock because I thought it was a game. Then I saw it was just a CD, and my heart eased its pounding. I am now on the verge of swearing off Toshiba EMI CDs.

As for my purchases, just all manga for me. I'm like Wanderer in that I have a backlog of games that I don't want to think about at this time. Still on the last floor of CoM, haven't touched that game for at least a month now. Been playing mostly Big Brain and New SMB when I find the time. FF3 DS can wait.

Fall is such a sudden departure from Summer as far as game releases go...

I'm still awaiting some orders for Super Robot Taisen, Trauma Center and Disgaea 2 and should go on ahead and order...

PS2
Rule of Rose (maybe)
Okami
Dance Dance Revolution SuperNova
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria

PSP
Spectral Souls

GameCube
Baten Kaitos Origins

Nintendo DS
Mega Man ZX
Contact (maybe)
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (maybe)

...for a grand total of maybe having to pay for 12 games this month. And I also have a backlog of death of like 20 games, most of them I havn't even played once yet. Oh and I want to order those 3 Legend of Heroes Second Story music cds all at the same time once the last one comes out later this month.

Stephen Sep 3, 2006

Most likely...
Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Megaman ZX

XLord007 Sep 3, 2006 (edited Sep 3, 2006)

I'd definitely say go for that one, some very impressive tunes in there.

Bill C. Sep 5, 2006

Already picked up Enchanted Arms, so the only other things I'll try to get this month are the Phoenix Wright reprint and probably Okami (which will end up in the RPG backlog from hell, along with Suikoden IV and Shadow Hearts and a few others).
