I'm feeling artistic!  Now, I know there are tons of nice cover art that's related to video games, but what are your ALL-TIME favorite works?  Please provide links so others can see these images as well! 

My favorite (in no particular order) are:

1)Ys Cover Art: I love the bright colors and other-worldly beauty in the image!  If anyone knows who painted the piece, please do tell.  Below is a link -note: the piece has been used in MANY Ys covers, I just choose one such album.

2)Ultima V Cover Art: in my opinion, this catpures everything that's good about RPGs!  Truly classic stuff, and the game is well worth the time (if you love deep deep storylines)!

3)Heroes of Might and Magic II Expansion: I thought it's a pretty unique and clever cover!  Plus, the game (and the music) is truly kick-ass!!

I also have to agree that far too many games these days have very generic covers (lots of anime-like characters wielding swords or simply trying to look cool -gets very boring!) 

Now, one of my all-time favorite games is Ultima VII.  In fact, I'm not sure I've ever played a finer RPG!  As for the cover, it's really quite interesting.  I think Conn might like it (let me know what you think)... when I first got the game, I was thinking "hmmm, am I not seeing something I'm supposed to see on this cover here?"

I might add that I think the strength of Falcom box designs lies less with the overall box and more with the fact that they do the most stunningly gorgeous game logos ever.
