For all you musicians out there, would you say that the first stage boss battle song (with that giant steam-powered robot-thing) is in duple or triple meter? I'm having a hard time deciding which it is..

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's actually 7/8 or some similar varient.

It sounds like it can be thought of as being in 4/4 actually to me.
If you're referring to "Streamroller", it switches around a lot. It starts in 3/4, switches to 7/4 and goes to 4/4 for a while before looping back to the 7/4 section.

my bunnies hate the fake opera voices in the BFM battle themes. they all run and hide and Usako starts thumping...
i concur, the fake voices are the worst thing about that soundtrack
The operatic noises in BF aren't too bad for me. Not nearly as bad as the synth wailing that permeates the Parasite Eve soundtrack.

those PE opera vocals wouldnt have been as bad if every track didnt wasnt the SAME melody.
