I just picked up my copy from EB Games today, and there was no Nintendo registration code included. I know its kinda dumb but I just would like to see FFIII DS listed on my list of registered games on my nintendo.com profile. If anyone else bought FFIII DS and got the reg code, can you post it here or e-mail it to me? Thanks.

Maybe EB took it out? Was your copy "new" but not sealed...as EB does things for some retarded reason. I hate EB. I haven't picked a copy up yet so I dunno if there is a code or not. Will let you know once I get mine later today/tomorrow.

Mine was new and sealed.  It was still in shrinkwrap when I got it.

FF3 doesn't have a code because it's not published by Nintendo.  Children of Mana and FF5 GBA have codes because they were published by Nintendo.

You live and you learn. Fair enough.

Just out of curiosity, did Square-Enix publish FFIII DS by themselves then?  Or who else did?

Yes, Squenix is the publisher.  They might be using a separate distributor, but they are the publisher.

Slightly O.T. but I'm looking at that list of registerable games and I see:

Dr. Robotnic's Mean Bean Machine
Golden Axe
Ecco The Dolphin

Those all came out as a part of a Sega Smashpack gba cart, right?  But then next one got me...

Dungeon Explorer

Wait, wha...?!  As in Dungeon Explorer the four player Gauntlet style action rpg from the TG-16 that had the awesome hard rock soundtrack (the CD based sequel's ost really rocks)  This Dungeon Explorer?

Where the heck is this game?  I never saw it come out for either the DS or the gba, but when I googled it, I did find a site mentioning it may be a Virtual Console download.  IGN, take it with a grain of salt, even insinuated it will get a next-gen revamp for the 360.

But if it is for the Wii's virtual console, I guess I am to assume that Nintendo will be providing registerable pins for each of them?

Sounds kinda cool.  What does registering get you?

Yeah, all of those are Virtual Console games.  Nintendo will probably provide a way for you to link your Wii account to your My Nintendo account in much the same way you can link your DS to it.  Lately, registering hasn't gotten you anything, but in the past, it's given us the Zelda Collection for NGC, the Metroid Prime 2 demo, and three free issues of NP.  Club Nintendo in Japan is a similar concept, but the rewards are much, much better.
