I know this is a ridiculous question, but my friend is an Okami fanatic.  In the absence of an Amaterasu plush, I was trying to find a white wolf plush that I could color accordingly.  I have found no store on the internet that carries just a white wolf plush, and I'm surprised nobody seems to make one.  Does anybody know if such an item exists on the market?

My 2nd choice is to try to buy a regular wolf plush (ie. timber wolf) and try to use color remover or oxygen bleach or something to try to make it white the hard way.  Does anybody know how resilliant stuffed animal fur is?  Would I be able to bleach it without destroying the fur?  Would the color even be removable from the fur?

Any suggestions?  Leads?  Thanks in advance.

Not surprising you can't find white wolf plushies...I think most wolves are just not naturally all white. If you know anyone who bought the limited-edition vol. 1 DVD of the anime "Wolf's Rain," that one came with a plush of Kiba, who's totally white. I personally think the plush looks pretty horrible (I gave mine away a few months back), but that's the only thing I can think of.

Here's a small picture of the Wolf's Rain plushie...click on the picture under the "Additional Images" heading:

Looks more like a squirrel though if you ask me.

Only other thing I can think of is to look for a plushie of a Samoyed...it's a solid white spitz breed that is closely related to Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes.  The spitzs have a wolf-like appearance to them (i.e. fur that is double-coated, fluffy tail, triagular upright ears), so it may work if you can find one.

That's brilliant, Eclisis!  I'm already finding plenty of them that look pretty good, thanks!  Thanks for the suggestion, Schala, but that Wolf's Rain one was pretty small.

That's a popular photo of the only publicly-known Ammy plush, from one of the gameshows (I think it was E3).  In my search, I had seen no official news they were going to mass-produce this prototype.

That sucks. I thought they had it shown because it was available to buy. Oh, well! Maybe they might still put one out?

maybe try the local zoo.. if they have a wolf exhibit then they probably sell plushies at one of the gift shops there
