Lot'sa VGM concerts nowadays...  As soon as one's over, another is announced.  I'm not arguing.

Well there's a couple Netherlander'ers around, so hopefully someone here can represent and attend.

Cyrstal Chronicles, Metroid Prime, Gun, God of War, and Fifa 07 should be interesting ones, those might not have been showcased elsewhere yet.

Metroid Prime?! Shit!!!

Yeah, and Play! is coming back to Sweden in 2007 with a new program as it seems.

Play! wrote:

Highlights of the concerts include the world-premiere performance of the monumental FINAL FANTASY VI - DANCING MAD presented by full orchestra, choir, pipe organ and rock band. Video game titles CASTLEVANIA, THE ELDER SCROLLS IV: OBLIVION, SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS, THE REVENGE OF SHINOBI and THE DARKNESS by Swedish game developer Starbreeze will be a part of the shows as well.

Sounds like more music from European composers this time:

Play! wrote:

As a special surprise for European fans PLAY! will feature two brand-new medleys of music from Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga classics, supervised by game music experts Chris Abbott (BACK IN TIME album series) and Jan Zottmann (IMMORTAL album series). Details to be announced shortly.

Nice news for the concert goers in Hartford:

I actually wonder if it will sound any different from what you can hear on the Symphonic version of the ActRaiser soundtrack already.

It'll totally be ripped from the Symphonic ActRaiser album.

If they do Aerith's Theme again... The least they can do is change a couple instruments to make it sound *slightly* different...

I was expecting to hear more about this after the concert (did any of our Dutch members attend?), but no news showed up around here.  Fortunately some handsome fellow wrote an exceedingly long article about the event (http://www.mania.com/53104.html), and it's in English, no less.  Have any of you heard of this Mania.com place?
