Thank you for sharing that, I can't believe how STUPID (not to mention evil) that scammer was! She totally got what was coming to her, basically humiliating herself in front of America (idiot that she is)! I do actually have a question, because she agreed to appear on this court show, does she actually have to pay? Is it legal and binding (I'm pretty certain they sign a legal and binding agreement before appearing on TV)? Do the TV producers promise to pay her if she loses/wins? I'm curious as to how these "real court TV" shows work -anyone know?

cheers,

Heh, I laughed my ass off.

Google for "Kelli Filkins" (the name of the defendant) and some interesting stuff shows up.

Hope that pompous smirking waste of space gets what she deserves.

I still want to find the original ebay item numbers, but it's possible they're no longer available for public viewing.

That just...makes me smile.
Judge Judy is a guilty pleasure. smile

Just reinforces how much more weight Judge Judy's wisdom needs in a confused America and elsewhere. Brilliantly done and sharp as a tack. Reminds me of Estelle Getty's character in Golden Girls...

As for this Filkins fink, she'll certainly need a job to pay those girls she scammed...

Heh, Judge Judy and executioner.

Just watched Hot Fuzz. So good. I'm pretty sure they used that joke in the Simpsons once though.

I always wonder what those people selling "pictures of" or "X-box Box" or whatever else that, though they are being truthful in the description, are obviously decpetion that pretty much anyone would want their money back and leave negs for. Do most people just let it go because "dammit I should have read"? Or "aw f--- it, I don't want to deal with it"? The mind boggles...

if it wasn't small claims court, judy could've awarded the plaintiffs a hell of a lot more than $5000
