I'm looking forward to Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, because honestly, lack of VC games access and Wii games in general has left my system completely untouched for a good month; at least I know I'll be playing a game with a winning formula, assuming the new controls really do work as well as people are saying.  And again, Tomb Raider Anniversary, if next week's release date holds.

Gyakuten Saiban 4 OST and Tiffany's Just Me for CDs, and Seinfeld Season 8 on DVD.  (Been looking forward to getting "The Muffin Tops" episode for the longest now.  ^_^)

Zane Jun 2, 2007

I won't have a job by the end of the month, so I'm going to have to keep things to a minimum in the coming months. All I'm looking forward to right now is Tomb Raider Anniversary for PS2 and Seinfeld S8 on DVD. I'm considering picking up DJ Taja's "Milestone" album, but I'll have to hear it first to make sure it's not just shitty beatmania-influenced sugar-pop and techno; $40 is a little much for something that might suck, despite the boner-inducing allure of the remix disc.

CDs

Yuzo Koshiro Best Collection Vol. 1
Extra ~ Official Compilation
Ys Origin Super Arrange Version
Grim Grimoire OST

GoldfishX Jun 3, 2007

June is sort of a weaksauce month...Only thing I care about is the Ys Origin Super Arrange. The GMR release list is pretty bare overall...Only two things I even care about through September (Hudson Premium Arrange and Etrian Odyssey Super Arrange and both of those are "maybe").

No games or DVD's I'm aware of, although I might consider the Velvet Revolver pre-release CD for Libertad.

Well, I'm not actually the one BUYING it, as my younger brother has it marked for a belated birthday present.
But anyway...

Duck, You Sucker
aka A FistFul of Dynamite

directed by Sergio Leone
Region 1 DVD

We American Leone nuts have been waiting on this for a LONG time. smile

As for anything else, I better make sure I have a new job contract before my recent one wraps up this week. No sense in spending money I barely have.
But once I do, it goes without saying that I have Vielen Dank and the OST for Trusty Bell / Eternal Sonata in mind.

Amazingu Jun 5, 2007

Japan has some nice titles coming out this month and I will surely be getting these two:

Trusty Bell
Zelda Phantom Hourglass

I'm dying to get my hands on Tomb Raider Anniversary, but I know nothing of any Japanese release date yet, so I'll have to wait sad

We're not getting this until fall, so please give us the full rundown once you get it.

I'm actually going to spring for the just released 8-disc Sergio Leone Anthology, as a Father's Day gift for dad.  It'll be great to watch the three films again, and I've yet to see "Duck, You Sucker" myself.

I haven't really followed Bemani in years, but Milestone has me beyond excited. Full versions of "V" and "AA," as well as an update of "Absolute"? Sold! Finding out that it would also have remixes from the likes of Akira Yamaoka and Sota Fujimori was almost too much to comprehend.

I'll also be picking up the Shake II Soundtrack because I can't get enough of Pachislot music. And, since I'm a slave to Dancemania, Dancemania presents Natsu Monogatari and Hostrance 2 are also on my list of purchases.

For games, it's probably only Planet Puzzle League for me.

Am I the only one who hasn't bought a DVD in months? Heh, the whole Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD battle has made me wary of purchasing any discs at all.

That's pretty much my own list, as well.

What's this Trusty Bell I keep hearing about?

It's called Eternal Sonata in the West.
A new Japanese RPG for 360, made by Tri-Crescendo, about Chopin's dying dream. The soundtrack was composed by Motoi Sakuraba and the piano pieces are performed by Stanislav Bunin who apparently won first prize at a Chopin piano competition when he was 19.

So there's a lot to look forward to.

This is indeed a very tempting package. And if my brother hadn't already landed Duck You Sucker, and if I hadn't bought the GBU special edition already, I'd be all over it. smile

As for DYS, I'm very fond of it personally. I loved it when it was called "A Fistful of Dynamite" on videotape, and even before I knew it had been trimmed. So to actually see it with those extra 20+ minutes...grand. Very grand.

I'd say that the moniker for Mother 3 ("Strange, Funny, and Heartrending") works for this movie as well. Maybe not too strange, but the first 2/3rds is pretty funny, with the heartrending making an entrance toward the end.

I can't say too much because I don't want to spoil anything for you. Hopefully, you'll become a fan yourself.

Oh...I can't leave without making one final observation. Rod Steiger and James Coburn are both greats, and they had fun with this movie. But I do have to mention...the accents they use are, um, kinda...ridiculous.
JC: FEEX my MOO-ta-CY-cle!!!
RS: O...keh. O-keh...fiyacrakka!

I'm going to see Hostel II today and I'm paying, but it's not exactly a purchase. But still - I'm paying.

As for material purchases, just a few Korean DVD releases. I did successfully not buy a 50" plasma, so I'm quite happy about that. I needed it like I need needles in my knees. Oh, I also bought Robert Sheckley's first collection of short stories - 'Untouched by Human Hands'.

I'm not sure if it'll be released this month or next (or if it'll be pushed back YET AGAIN!) but I'm totally psyched for Kiki Kaikai 2 ( http://www.s-f.co.jp/soft/ps2/kikikaikai/index.htm )... looks to be great fun!

Word from Famitsu is that Kiki Kaikai 2 has officially been canceled.  A sad, dark day to be sure. -_-;

csK Jun 14, 2007

I know, its been the only incoming game from this year I've been looking forward to.  Hopefully they resurrect the idea but its doubtful sad

What do you think? Good stuff isn't it! Kinda weird, somehow I feel it fits right up your alley! There have also been a few movies based on his works.

cheers,

Probably will pick up the Zelda game for the DS next week when it comes out.  I need to stop by Bic Camera and snag the demo while I can...

Other than that, either the Aquos DS1 (32 inch) or the GS10 (37 inch) if I can manage to get a good price on it.
