I'm sure some of you know Adam Freeland from "Fear (Rez Edit)" from the Rez OST. He just put out a 2-CD mix album released by Global Underground, and it is fantastic.
Unlike most of the progressive house/trance mixes from GU, this one is very different. Disc 1 is a mishmash of robotic breakbeat and catchy dance-trance with some modern disco-ish stuff thrown in for good measure, and makes for a great, windows-down/music-up/sunny day CD. I couldn't believe how good it was when I heard it - after I picked the album up I just kept driving and driving until the CD finished playing. Disc 2 is almost polar opposite, with a more moody and ambient feel to it along with a little deja vu (one of the tunes has the same synth sound as a few songs from Ace Combat 03!).
The album is up on iTunes, so you can cruise over there and check out some samples if you're interested. I would recommend it for disc 1 alone, but disc 2 brings some great balance to the table. I only paid $18 for it, which isn't bad for a double disc (maybe I've just been buying OSTs for too long). Either way, great stuff, so go buy it and dance your asses off.
