Okay so it's not the first time I've had something I made released on DVD but this is particularly special to me because I created it and wrote it as well as directing it. It's the first time I really went for it as a writer. I've been working on this show since 2005 and it has dominated my thoughts each and every day since. I wanted to make something that wasn't just enjoyable for children (though it had to be fun!), I wanted it to be good for children too.

While making it, my wife got pregnant somehow (who knows how those storks work) and so nine months of the production had my unborn daughter in mind - what would I like to make for her? She was born as I was stuck into the last few episodes of the show and that was the busiest time of my life.

Well, now it's finished. And here it is on DVD. Yay!

It's been showing here in Ireland and in Australia. It will soon be going out in the UK, France, Norway, Sweden, across several Latin American countries, Korea and Israel. Hopefully it will make it to more countries soon. You US peeps have the hardest market to crack though! That might take a while.

Considering the ridiculous number of channels on the ol' cable box, and so many that I have never once even watched in passing, I don't get how it would be such a difficult market to crack.  Good luck with it!  Perhaps if it is merchandise-marketable, you can get assistance through a toy company like Hasbro to get it on the air?

It must be a rewarding feeling to have a product you basically 'raised from scratch' be available for many people to enjoy... 

Something to show for your time and effort at work!   (unlike many 'service' oriented jobs where it's a continual cycle of the same repeated tasks, so there's never any lasting evidence of your work 24 hours later, when you have to do it all over again...)

Yeah, it's a great feeling to have it out there. Now that it's finished though, I'm having a very hard time applying myself to anything else. I'm a bit useless at the moment!
