Hold up, is a "Tag" the same as a "Friend Code"? If so, then:

Don't think there was a thread yet made for the 360, though.
Yeah, I saw that one for the PS3 codes, but I just got a 360 so I thought I'd add my name and hopefully look up everyone. (not that I plan on gaming online for $xx a year)
if i have a chance to score a used 60gig ps3,, should i take it over one a new one (considering backwards compatibility is of utmost importance to me)

Considering new ones outside of the MGS bundle have NO PS2 compatibility, and the bundle's is software-based and imperfect, YES get the old one,

Bump!
Just created my Xbox Live account for the first time in my life and thought I'd share it with you guys.
I'm really looking forward to playing SFIIHD against any of you

Now there's conformity for ya!

*in her best Marcus Fenix voice* Nice.
Now I'm hoping we can get Jay to share his tags. What's the hold-up, man? I'd love to play some LBP or Gears co-op with you some time. ;)
I'm really looking forward to playing SFIIHD against any of you :)
Which version are you getting, Amazingu? Please, please, please say PS3, 'cause.... that's what I'm getting. Great battery life aside, the 360's d-pad sucks the fattest egg.

Yeah, I know.
Yet, I'm sorry to say I'm getting the 360 version
The reason for that is as simple as it is frustrating; I live in Japan, and as such, Sony is FORCING me to work with a Japanese PSN account. And the Japanese PSN is best described as "Arid Wasteland" at best.
Seriously, I can't even download f---ing Megaman 9 here, it's ridiculous. Even the Wii has a better line-up.
Xbox live has a Universal Line-up it seems, so even with a Japanese account I'll be able to download American/European content, contrary to the PS3 (I'm SERIOUSLY pissed about this, aren't they even BOTHERING to win the Console Wars this time?), so I'm stuck with using the 360 controller, since there's no telling when (or IF) SFIIHD will hit PSN over here. Sorry
I DO have both Gears games though, so I'd happily play some co-op with you Angie, or anyone else for that matter
Darn it. Well, maybe I'll take the high ground, and pick up the 360 version as well. What's $15 more in the name of Street Fighter rivalry? :)
I just wish those awesome-looking SF4 pads were available for purchase now.
On second thought, I've been doing some looking around, and it seems lots of PS3 owners have multiple PSN accounts to be able to access all the region-specific content. I'll try my luck with creating a US account tomorrow, cos I REALLY don't want to play SFHD with a 360 controller...
My PS3 name: nindori97
PS3: SonicPanda
360: SonicPandaZX (a pox on you, ersatz SonicPanda, whomever you are)
Finally got around to adding everyone's 360 tag. However the web interface doesn't allow for message attachments so if you're wondering about the blank invite from lplin that'd be me.
I was wondering who that was! Nice to see you

I always used to believe xbox 360 was better than the ps3 since most people i knew bought xbox 360
but as i researched a bit ,i found out the following facts
although the ps3 didn't have many titles in the beginningg but now it has almost equivalentt to an xbox 360
ps3 always had better raw power and in the future advance gaming would not be possible in a xbox 360 in comparison to a ps3
ps3 has online gaming free and the community is also getting better
ps3 has very less problems
ps3 is less noisier than an xbox 360
ps3 has a blue ray
ps3 has more comfortable controller and also keyboards or something like that can be attached to a ps3
we can install windows on ps3 ,i don't know if its legal or not
although xbox 360 has great exclusives like halo 3 and gears of war 2 but so does ps3
but an xbox 360 has better Accessories if u r willing to buy them
an xbox 360 at the moment has better online community than a ps3
microsoft have better marketing than sony although this point is irrelevant
xbox 360 is cheap
do u agree and which is a better buy?
Both systems have their strengths which, for me, makes both of them worth owning. Let's take this blow by blow.
although xbox 360 has great exclusives like halo 3 and gears of war 2 but so does ps3
At this point, the PS3's exclusives have been outweighing the 360's for me. While I loved Gears of War (especially the second one), I've never quite taken to the Halo, Mass Effect, or Crackdown series. PS3, however, boasts the likes of Valkyria Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4, and both Uncharted games -- all of them spectacular experiences that, in my eyes, definitely makes them system sellers.
ps3 always had better raw power and in the future advance gaming would not be possible in a xbox 360 in comparison to a ps3
That may be true, but as it stands right now - that is, three years into its life cycle - few titles on the PS3 have been pushing the envelope very much further than what the 360 has been offering. In terms of multiplatform titles, you'd be hard pressed to find a title that's any better on PS3 than the 360. (And in most cases, the 360 version ends up being the more polished.) That said, titles like Uncharted 2 went a long way in giving us a taste at what the PS3 is truly capable of.
There are other intangible benefits afforded by the space capacity of Blu-ray that shows what the system can offer. Graphics representation, for instance; 1080p and no compression will likely mean a crisper output for Final Fantasy XIII's cutscenes when compared to its DVD-compressed 720p 360 counterpart. And Metal Gear Solid 4 is a prime example at just how incredibly deep and robust a video game's sound design can be in lossless format.
ps3 has online gaming free and the community is also getting better
an xbox 360 at the moment has better online community than a ps3
Free is always great, but you do get what you pay for with Live. The $30 I spent for a 13 month subscription adds up to better online functionality, more DLC and demos, and a far greater-in-numbers community of gamers. People still play Super Street Fighter II HD Remix on Live as opposed to PSN, and getting my daily fighting fix has undoubtedly been worth the price of admission.
ps3 has very less problems
From a hardware stance, I suppose the statistics check out. Personally, I haven't had a problem with either one of my systems, but I'm bracing for the day my one year/three month old 360 hits a snag. *knocks on wood*
ps3 is less noisier than an xbox 360
Since opting for full hard drive installs on every game I play, this has become much less of a problem. I'd say it's almost on par with the PS3's level of quiet.
That's the other thing. Full installs; they're a godsend for shaving off load times on 360 titles. Games with already speedy load times are cut down to practically nothing. It's awesome.
ps3 has a blue ray
Singularly one of my favorite reasons for owning a PS3. I probably use it more as a Blu-ray movie player than a gaming device.
ps3 has more comfortable controller and also keyboards or something like that can be attached to a ps3
USB-based keyboards are compatible for both systems. Where the PS3 edges out 360 is its ability to use several various other USB-based accessories and controllers. It was maddening finding the right controller that has a decent d-pad for the 360, especially when I had perfectly good Logitech pads lying around. Even the Hori Pad EX Turbo for 360 can't hope to be as good as those.
As a whole, I still dig Sony's controller design over the 360's -- the ergonomics on the Six-Axis and Dual Shock just feel better, the d-pad is more competent, and I love the lightweight feel of the regular Six-Axis in particular. I have come to acknowledge the merits of the 360 controller, though. The analog sticks are more precise than the PS3's, and the triggers are definitely better for shooters.
we can install windows on ps3 ,i don't know if its legal or not
Didn't they do away with that in a recent firmware update? Or was that for Linux?
xbox 360 is cheap
The base system is cheap, yes, but then you have to take into account all the accessories necessary to make it a competent system. I bought the 360 Arcade pack back in October '08 when it dropped to $200 -- but I wasn't quite thinking ahead, because then I needed to invest in the headset, the proprietary hard drive, and the wireless adapter - the latter two costing a pretty penny. Comparatively, a 120 GB PS3 Slim costs the same as a 120 GB 360 Elite these days, but you get Wi-Fi, a Blu-ray player, and bluetooth capability right out of the box with the PS3.
Time to dig up this thread because I got a sweet deal on a used 360 over the weekend. Paid about $50 for it after all was said and done. Anyway, add me (tehmiker) and let's play some gamez! Just need to look up what's good on the 360 now, I only have a few games in mind so far.
Seems I completely missed this thread somehow.

No PS3 for me.
Got my shiny new 360 Slim yesterday. Gamertag is the same as my PSN ID: nindori97.
Just got my 360 Slim this week. I barely have any friends, so add me!
