I'm pretty sure we all have some musical talent in us, being the avid music listeners/appreciators that we are.  So what do you rock out on?  And no, "Guitar Hero" doesn't count.

Me?  I play the drums.

They're all silenced because I live in a condo with a bunch of other people, one of which lives above our garage.

Right now, I'm not in a band, but I did play for Same Day Rule and Curbside Syndicate for a while.  Taking a break to finish school and to find the right band, but I'm not sure I'm going to find anyone who shares my vision: some prog-type rock sort of like Sakuraba meets Rush meets Dream Theater (Konami Kukeiha club anyone?).  There isn't that big of a music scene in Las Vegas, so we'll see where I end up in a couple of years.

I used to play the oboe. Haven't touched it in years though.

As recently posted. And I had the real one awhile before the GH one.

The backstory was pretty simple...I had started to listen to rock music more seriously and five months ago, I was in a pawn shop, I saw it, I bought it and a 10W practice amp. You know, just to see what makes these things tick. I'm really pleased with it so far...For a cheap, used Strat clone, it holds together well, sounds excellent  and doesn't go out of tune easily. I'm just learning the basics, checking out various online resources, practicing when I get some spare time (great thing with electric is I can practice with it not plugged in and not disturb anyone) and having fun with it now. I have palm-muted power chords down pretty good (especially in DADGBE!), but I'd love to be able to change to a C-chord on the fly. And scales really help make sense out of things...Those exotic ones are just fun to look at:

Also, hidden weakness/talent would be the trumpet. I tore that thing up back in 5th grade, but then it was a sad day when I had to give it back to the music department that loaned it to me. Dunno if I'd ever buy one, but it was fun while it lasted.

Played the piano in second grade, but when the lessons were over, I sort of discontinued. Always wanted to learn the saxophone or trumpet and of course I regret never developing piano or taking up music in my school years. I want to take lessons today, but I don't really have the time or money just yet.

I can play the piano pretty well (almost made it to teaching certificate level) but I prefer to sing so I do that now in my spare time.

piano

Can any of these instruments be air instruments? I'm pretty good at the air guitar, drums and keyboard (at least in my thoughts)

I play piano.
Used to play violin. Would like to start again.

I was waiting for someone to bring it up.

/Air sax, anyone? Ugh...

The only instrument I've ever played for any length of time was the piano, and I was never very good at it.

I've got a little skill with keyboards (I totally fail at playing pianos, oddly enough), but I usually just stick to software synth.

Only experience with an instrument is two years with the flute from Jr. High. Made fun of relentlessly for it. I thought it was an elegant sounding instrument.
