There are a ton of CDs coming out that I want in January, which is rare. I usually only buy a few new albums every few months. Not only are they soundtracks I am interested in, but they're pretty much the "big" albums for me; new Yamaoka, Takada, etc.
Final Fantasy IV DS OST - No new tunes, but the arrangement of Theme of Love and some of the stuff I heard on the website made this a purchase-worthy album. At least this is a double-disc set.
Guilty Gear 2 Vol.2 OST - I was a little apprehensive about this album, but I ordered it anyway. The samples I heard weren't awful, so that's good. I've been getting into playing guitar more recently, so I figure this will be another "play along" album for me.
Lumines II remixes - After the awesome Winter remixes CD, I have high hopes for this album. Although h ueda and Sugiyama will be missed, I'm sure that Nakamura will deliver a solid disc on his own. If his work on Lumines and the Lumines Winter album are any indication, this is going to rock (and thump) my speakers for quite a while. Call me crazy, but I prefer Nakamura's Lumines stuff much (much, much) more than anything else that he has done in the past.
No More Heroes OST - This goes without saying. Takada and Fukuda are unstoppable as far as I'm concerned. If the progression from killer7 to God Hand is any indication, this OST is going to be phenomenal. The trailer music I've heard was great, so I can just imagine what other kinds of wacky shit GHM is going to come up with. This is at the top of my list for next month.
Silent Hill Zero OST - New Yamaoka is reason enough to celebrate, but new Silent Hill? That's reason to take the day off from work, put on some headphones and let the album take over for the night.
Super Mario Galaxy Premium (2 disc) OST - I preordered this from NCSX when it was listed, but I also have my alerts up for Play-Asia, just in case. I maybe have to double-order this one just in case my initial order doesn't go through. The music for SMG is intense, and I'm really looking forward to having this one on-disc!
