Holy shit...has anyone seen the trailer for this?

This looks freaky as hell! And knowing Del Toro, I think this film has a good chance of giving me the chills. Just the kid in the burlap mask is enough to creep me out. It makes me want to see it and yet, not, because I'll probably end up with nightmares. But, man - this is quite an eye-opener.

Its actually only produced by Del Toro, but the movie marketing machine is just spinning it as his film. I'd love to see this in theaters, but since its a foreign film like Pan it has zero chance of being shown around here sad

I had read the plot synopsis a while back, but would still love to see it.  Did del Toro handle the subtitle work like he did with Pan?

There's already talks of an American remake too, isn't there?  Any concrete word if del Toro is helming the project?

I've seen the movie since it's in theathers here (at least we [in Europe] get something before US :) ). I liked it pretty much, maybe even more than Pan's Labyrinth. The style definitely is similar to Pan's Labyrinth, but this is not even that much a fantasy movie. It isn't exactly a horror movie (which I thought it would be), but it is exciting and interesting film nonetheless. I think the story is great and original and the orphanage makes for a very good milieu for the movie. The slowly unveiling details about the orphanage's past were interesting too. If you liked PL I'm pretty sure you'll like this as well.
