Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney heads up my purchases for the month; I'm positively giddy that we'll be able to indulge in some brand-spankin' new AA cases soon.  I hold great hope that Nanostray 2, a title that's starting to feel damned near vaporware-ish with its constantly prolonged release date, will stay on target this month.  I'll be sure to pick up Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and I'm just about to board the Devil May Cry 4 hype train.

Right, and have any of you Euro folk played Bubble Bobble Double Shot?  It's finally getting released here, and out of Bobble principle, I'm thinking of picking it up.  Opinions?

Zane Jan 31, 2008

Absolutely nothing.

the_miker Jan 31, 2008

Golden Axe The Music
NiGHTS into dreams… Perfect Album
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Original Game Soundtrack

Those are the definites.  Devil May Cry 4 game and soundtrack are both maybes.  Been spending waaay too much money on CDs lately (click, find the new!), really need to slow down a bit.  Of course, I just got my nice fat tax return.. so.. my list of definites may grow. wink

Ditto, except I'm NOT on the fence with Layton. It's Level 5! They can do no wrong.

I'm going to pick up No More Heroes after payday. It's about time I preheat my Wii before I Brawl next month.

Otherwise, I'm planning on dropping some more cash at H&M.

Ryu Feb 1, 2008

Where do you guys live waiting for No More Heroes to be released?

Amazingu Feb 1, 2008

Nothing here either. February has not interesting releases here in Japan as far as I'm aware, so I'll most likely be picking up random old stuff.

Also, Professor Layton rocks, no fences needed.

XLord007 Feb 1, 2008 (edited Feb 3, 2008)

Just the 25th Anniversary Edition of MJ's Thriller for me this month. smile

Ephidel Feb 1, 2008

8th : Medal of Honor : Heroes 2,

15th : Battalion Wars 2,

22nd : Star Trek Conquest,

I think that says it all about gaming in Europe. I'm saving up for a DS because I am not missing out on ANOTHER Fire Emblem game, RD seems non-existant at the moment!

It's a shame to hear the bad news stateside about Brawl being released in March, it looks like my "useless" petitions worked though! Brawl could be here in Europe for 1st June! I said have faith......

Ashley Winchester Feb 1, 2008

Can't think of anything... there are a few older scores (Final Fantasy VII & Chrono Trigger) I do want to go back and get though. Last year's Drac X Chronicles keeps looking better as well.

You've got to be kidding me.  I know you guys pay more on PSN and XBLM for the same stuff as us here.  Is this common that Canada also has to wait weeks longer to get a game than those just across the longest, undefended border in history?  That's all absurd!

Ryu Feb 2, 2008

I can't believe it--- a month is going by without a singled scheduled DVD release to get.  Since HD-DVD is losing the war, I'm waiting for the eventual 'clearance' sales to pop up, so if that occurs I'll be buying up some of those.

Game-wise, it's a Capcom month --- Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice on DS and Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions on PS3 look to be the only game releases I'll be getting, assuming they don't release a patch that updates the 360 LP to add-in the PC/PS3 extras (they should!).

Tell me about it.   January had 3: 10 To Yuma, but February's got absolutely nothing.  I'm looking forward to Enchanted in March, though -- and after the (intentionally?) disappointing transfer that was the Pirates 3 DVD,  I'm undoubtedly springing for the Blu-ray version.

Refresh my memory, Ryu; do you have a designated HD-DVD player, or a BR/HD hybrid?

No, I have my PS3 for blu-ray.  I watch HD-DVDs on the 360 HD-DVD Player.  Looking ahead, March only has Battlestar Galactica Season 3 for me.  That's an awesome show!  Until then, I'm thinking of splurging on some anime, but shopping for anime ends up talking me out of it.

I wasn't aware that we pay any more for PSN items (I can't comment on Microsoft rates). Interesting if true, though.

But, to answer the more relevant question, no, this is not normal. Stuff usually ships to American and Canadian locations at around the same time, so we tend to get better-distributed games the same day that you do, and we get things like Atlus and NISA titles two to four days later (in retail -- I usually use Amazon for a variety of reasons, except when ordering directly from publishers).

Well, the selection's pretty much gone now, but rightstuf.com's holding a major ADV clearance sale 'til the end of Wednesday, with regular 46% off sales resuming on Thursday.

I just usually don't mention anime purchases 'cause nobody else here seems to.

NiGHTs is coming out on the PS2, so I can't wait to check that out.  So yea, my only wanted game of this year is a port of a Saturn game... go figure.

The titles with the "NEW" on the end are ones you just acquired? How the f--- did you manage to find the original Virtual On OST?!

Yeah, new means I got them recently, not that they're necessarily new releases.

Idolores wrote:

That's not the original Future Land release (TYCY-5486), it's the new Sega Direct "reprint" with some bonus tracks and new arrangements.  It actually sounds a little different than the original CD, I'm guessing one of them is the Arcade version and one is Saturn, though I couldn't tell you which is which.  Anyone know for sure?  Anyway, I got that CD off Carl cause he's the man.  It's actually pretty rare already and goes for like 50 bucks on YJA.  The original Future Land release goes for much less, believe it or not.
