Has anybody been watching this show on Adult Swim? I didn't know what to make of it at first but I love it now! It's such a cheesey take on the horror genre it is halarious. The only problem?

The DVD is PAL only! Man, I'm envious of the Europeans!

A random statement from the show:

"I ran the only way I knew how, by placing one foot in front of the other in quick succession." - Dr. Rick Douglas M.D.

Any other fans?

They only played 4 episodes on AS, are there any more? I definitely liked the cheesey effects they used to make it like some '60s show. I laughed my ass off at the zombie episode where they kept cutting to the black guy shooting off the shotgun and then back to him just standing there.

Reminds me a bit of Saul of the Mole Men as well.

There are six:

They've all played at least once as I've seen them all, but they just played "Hell Hath Fury" last night (Sunday) so you'll be able to catch 3-6 on the following weekends.

Finally found a torrent of this (the DVD is getting hard to find), and I'm really glad I did, I've been wanting to see it for ages, and it was great! Superb spoof of oldschool B-horror and 80's cheese. My favourite episode was the last one, I really laughed when that ultra-cheesy 80's love rock ballad came on, and when it got to the oldschool rap bit, I really exploded! big_smile The "Planet of Apes" parody-episode was awesome as well. The character of Garth is such a great parody of authors like Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I love how he's always trying to sound foreboding and "deep" but ends up just being silly and shallow, and the way they have added commentaries by the "actors" in the middle of the show to make it seem like they're discussing the episodes in a "mockumentary" fashion from 20 years later is just priceless.

The only bad thing about it is that there was only one season (6 episodes!). While I could see the formula getting stale if the series was longer, it really feels like it ended prematurely, they could have done so much more with it. I miss an episode with vampires! smile

If you like a good laugh and cheesy B-horror movies, this is one to watch!

Just thought I post that Adult Swim is running this again. 'Bout time.
