Man, I'm still looking for the first one (EO) - can't find it anywhere (for a decent price that is).

With the announcement of Luminous Arc 2, that's pretty much sealed the deal for me:  Atlus wins for this year.  I mean come on:

Baroque
Persona 3 FES
Persona 4
Rondo of Swords
Drone Tactics
Summon Night: Twin Age
Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard
Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2
Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns July
Yggdra Union (psp)

It's like every release they've done this year has been something I really wanted to play!

I'm beginning to wonder, how is Atlus producing all these great games at such a pace?

Exactly!  Gaming hasn't been this fun since the golden ages on the SNES.  Bravo Atlus.  Bravo.

Where's McCall's I <3 Atlus shirt?

If Manabu did the 2nd, then I'm gonna have to find a rip or something since there's no cd...

A CD release seems pretty unlikely, but folks have already made a recording from the unlockable soundtest once you've finished the game, complete with the actual track titles:

Big win to the track "Encroaching Shadows," a new arrangement of the memorable "G.U.I.L.T" theme from the first game.

It's been confirmed that Sega will be acquiring Atlus and its parent company Index Holdings.  The deal is set to go through in November of this year.

I have a feeling Atlus fans aren't gonna like the news.

No sir, I don't like it.

My first thought is: "how does Sega have money to purchase anything?"

I am merely deeply apprehensive, as opposed to utterly dismayed, which I would be feeling if Atlus had been bought by, say, Capcom or Nintendo.  So, yay?

Mixed feelings.  Had this been Sega of old, I'd be cool with it.  Sammy Sega, on the other hand, doesn't always seem as willing to take risks.  If Nintendo had bought them and allowed them to operate the way Monolithsoft does, that would've been pretty ideal.  That said, that would've taken away their games from all the anti-Nintendo people, so yay everybody gets some Atlus goodness still?

Anyway, could always be worse.  Konami could've bought them and then murdered them horrifically the way they did Hudson.  sad

(I will still be bitter about that for the rest of time)
