I don't think Adam wants to be like other sites. Vbulletin does cost money while punBB is free. punBB is also lightweight compared to Vbulletin.

Well to be fair he was just bringing up the possibility, not even recommending it per se. And given some of the responses to the redesign it was a reasonable suggestion.
Definitely not planning on mimicking the traditional vBulletin scheme though 
Again, can something be done about the brightness level? My corneas would appreciate less blinding whiteness.

I'm just glad these sites exist.
