Hey all, sorry if it seems like I'm pimpin myself out here, but I just thought I'd let anyone know who's into the j-pop, that I have a Japanese radio show on 101.7 World FM in Edmonton, Alberta.  It's called "Radio Wasabi" and it's on Sunday nights at 11 PM.  It's only just started (I've only done two shows so far).  If it's too late for people to tune in (and it usually is, but hey it's a start), worldfm.ca has Audio Archives for up to one week.  The show is a top 10 format with the songs from the Oricon Top singles Ranking each week.  I also play the news in Japanese, and inform on some japanese stuff happening in Edmonton.  I don't know of anyone else who lives in Edmonton, Alberta, who's on this forum (I think the closest person would be Idolores from Calgary), so check it out if you like.  The show's only just started so it's still evolving, hopefully I'll have some production elements done for the show soon and what not.

Fuckin' rights, brother. I didn't know you hailed from Edmonton. If I can get that station in Calgary, I'll definitely check it out. It's too late for that now (right now, my clock's readin' 12:02am), but tomorrow night, I'll definitely tune in as soon as I am off work.

Kinda surprised that you remembered I live in Calgary. Don't forget Red Hamster X. (s)he's a cowtown original, too, I believe. smile

The radio signal won't reach Calgary from Edmonton, but you'll be able to listen online at worldfm.ca.  The show isn't listed yet on the graphic (the website is still woefully inadequate for WorldFM as compared to it's sister station Sonic 102.9).

I live just north of Edmonton, so I'll definitely try to listen in sometime. Awesome!

Been lookin' at worldfm.ca, but nothing there about Radio Wasabe. I'm new to internet radio. What should I look for?

The site sorely needs updating, so Radio Wasabi isn't on there quite yet. It's a low priority on the webmaster's plate right now. sad  Basically all you need to do is just hit the listen live button and you'll get the station through a popup WMP window playing the station in real time.  The audio archives are a storage of the stream for up to one week.  You just select which day and hour you want from the drop down list, hit submit then the page will refresh and then select the link "Click here to listen".  That'll bring up WMP with the hour that you selected.  It takes a while for the archive to catch up with what's aired, so you can't get the most recent stuff right away.
