Ok, this is going to be a rant so brace yourself...

When I was in high school two of my friends thought it was "cute" to hit each other in the privates. I seriously want to go back in time and strangle the person that started this trend because last night this annoying a-hole a work that drives me nuts did this to me and I was extremely ticked off. Of course, my "warning" not to do it again probably fell on deaf ears...

I'm sorry but I don't find this funny... it's one thing to get knocked in the balls by accident - that's kind of funny once the pain subsides - but I find going around and causing such discomfort to be moronic and disrespectful. In fact, I have a friend who had someone do this to him and he actually had to go to the hospital because of it - the loser who did it didn't show that much remorse either.

Anyway, sry... I guess I'm just sick of this guy at work. I was unaware we were still in high school.

So this guy just randomly drops you one in the jewels? As a joke? How did your "warning" (as you put it) go? What did you say/do?

I can't say I've ever witnessed this myself, but to be honest, I wouldn't put it past some people.

You can always take it up with your superiors. At any rate, I wouldn't put up with crap like that. Make sure it doesn't happen again, and whoever follows this "trend" is indeed an idiot!

I don't really know what to say other than not to get yourself in these situations in the first place. You've already written about this job once before. That plus this makes me wonder why you even want this job. It doesn't sound like a very good working environment, to put it mildly.

As for this guy, I'd have beaten the shit out of him immediately after I could feel my nuts again whether he did it as a joke or not.

Sue him for sexual harassment.

I tried to explain to him you can really hurt someone by doing that and if it happened again there'd be trouble. That solved nothing, he called my bluff and it happened again tonight, a few times... along with him putting holes in my bottle of powerade, he knows I won't hit him or anything.

I know, but being the "new" guy, I really don't want to be known as a narc.

You bring up a good point, but there are very complicated reasons (and feelings) as to why I want this job... you see, the job I held for the last few years was the result of a family favor and the death of my uncle. I needed to get hired for me being me and not being the next in line - I needed to prove something to myself. I have done that and it feels great, even if the job is at the bottom of the barrel. Sorry for getting so personal. Additionally, two co-workers recently quit at the drop of the hat this week and we're two men down out of a four man crew, and I wouldn't leave without giving two weeks notice anyway. I'm probably a fool, and I probably bitch too much making things seem worse than they are.

So this marks maybe the third time he's done this? Honestly, I'm surprised you haven't hauled ass on him yet. Anyone who thinks that causing potentially lethal bodily harm is even slightly amusing is clearly asking for it.

I realize that two wrongs don't make a right, but f---, you gotta draw a clear and distinct line, man.

Seriously, if you do nothing you're just opening yourself up. Either talk to a supervisor, or hurt him. Plus, if anyone messed with my food there'd be hell to pay... Hate to say this, but bitching about it won't help, you need to take charge of your life!

edit: let us know how things go, but I seriously suggest you resolve this quickly.

What the hell is this, grade school?  Stop being such a p---y and *do something* about this moron's behavior.

James O Apr 11, 2008

How long have you been at this job?  If it's anything less than 3 months, you don't need to give 2 weeks notice, just quit and walk off the job, knowing you are leaving these morons behind forever.  There are so many other jobs out there... you don't need to subject yourself to such torture just to prove a point to yourself...

Next time he comes near you, kick him in the balls.
Conflict resolved.

It's officially called the 'weenie tap'. I know a guy that graduated from my old high school in 2002 and he told me it got so bad that some guys were walking around with backpacks, but not on their backs. I graduated from the same high school in 1994 and there was no such thing as the 'weenie tap'.

The weenie tap is often done by flicking the back of the hand downwards, rapidly, in the direction of an unsuspecting individual, as they are rounding a corner. This is effective in bringing down even the largest of males, to the great amusement of all. However, this causes a general sense of warranted fear which may disrupt the normal course of studies.

Agreed.

I thought I should update this thread since there was a rather important development:

Before I could leave work tonight my supervisor's supervisor stopped me and informed me he had became aware of all the crap that has been going on, agreed it was out of control, offered an aplology and assured me that it would immediately come to a stop. Additionally, I was commended on my overall consistancy over the previous weeks and as such did not want to lose me as an employee.

Anyway, as it is I didn't mean to the fourms as a dumping ground for my problems.

Next time, punch his lights out in self-defense. Schoolyard rules, I suppose.
