Does anyone know if the US version of Twilight Princess was censored in terms of 'the giant spiders losing a leg from each slash of Link's sword' because it falls under 'minimal M-rated content' (i.e. 'limb dismemberment') or is it just a rumor?

Given that it's Nintendo, you'll probably never get a straight answer on a question like that. So true or not, it's doomed to remain just a rumor.
