So as I sit around at home recovering from pneumonia (!) I've been updating the sample content on the site.  First of all I've removed all the MP2 samples from about a decade ago (this site was around before MP3s were ubiquitous) and replaced them with decent-quality MP3 versions where possible.  Along with that I've added samples for some major titles that had been lacking them or added extras for ones that deserve them.

Assuming you have Flash installed and Javascript enabled these can all be played inline (without downloading or opening a media player) by simply clicking the links.  By clicking on the continuous playback link at the top of each tracklist first you can listen to them all in one go.

Pneumonia!?  I hated getting sick over in Japan, and that was just having the flu and whatnot.  That has to SUCK.  Hope you feel better soon!  Also, totally off topic, but are you staying another year?

Nice.  Also, I'd like to say that you did a good job with the select track choices on many of the albums.  I just seems to me that there are many times (on other VGM sites) when the tracks which are sampled aren't always the greatest.  I don't have to scratch my head at the majority of the choices you've gone with.

Glad you steered clear of "Yellow Sands" on Soul Edge... that is the one bad apple on that disc, that pagpipe is earsplitting. My favorite has got to be "Tiny Amulet" though.

Yeah, I don't recommend pneumonia.  I was in the hospital for a week so they pampered me there.

I am tentatively renewing but I think I might call it quits at the end of this year.  I just never can force myself to leave this time of year.  Japanese summers are too much fun

"Tiny Amulet" has a special place for me because Seung Mina was my favorite character to play in Soul Edge.  It and Taki's "A Haunting Wind" are the stylistic oddballs out on Khan Super Session but both interesting.
