Well, now HERE'S a blast from my collective past.  Gloria Yip, Hong Kong singer and movie star sensation; I remember meeting Gloria, then twenty-one, when I was fourteen.  She gave me an autographed copy of her latest CD, "Truly Clean."  Now, I'm not an ardent fan of Chinese pop or anything (in fact, this is one of the few Chinese albums I actually own), but I remember enjoying this CD quite a bit.   It's been years since I've listened to it; it was hidden way in the back of one of my oldest CD collection racks, and reacquainting myself to it just floods back sweet memories of past days.  As far as nostalgia, it's right up there with three of my other favorite 1994 CDs, Final Fantasy Pray, Final Fantasy VI OSV, and Super Street Fighter 2.

I believe a sample medley is in order:

You're f---ing kidding me. She was in Riki-Oh? That is great, even if she didn't blow anyone up with her fists.

And damn. Meeting a celebrity like that . . . makes me wish I could meet my favorite artist (as of right now), Lee Jung Hyun. Really need to find her CD's, too. I hate having, shall we say, seafaring music . . .  sad:(

Edit: Listened to the samples. My first experience with Chinese music in any form was the cantonese vocal tracks from G Gundam, so no matter what, whenever I hear a song in either Cantonese or Mandarin, I always think of that show. big_smile
