I'm interested in getting a new cellphone.

I currently have a Motorola V3 RAZR.

After two years, this thing is dying on me;

it's not just losing calls, or not even picking them up, even within typically 5 bar territories;

it sometimes goes out suddenly, even when it has a full battery charge.

And sometimes, I have to replace the SIM card; pull it out, put it back in, and then it decides to work for a few hours before going out again.

So, let me ask you: what cellphone do you recommend for reliability?

This will be something I'll be interested in finding out about soon too.  I had two Toshibas in Japan and LOVED them, but... do they even sell those in the US?  Loads of people have told me to stay the heck away from anything Motorola so maybe Samsung would be a good type to look at?  Recommend away!

All I can tell you is that Ericssons (Sony, that is) are awful. Every one I've owned has been so problematic . . .

Miss my old flip-top Samsung. sad
