Scores better than what is getting airtime *glare's at "I kissed a girl"*.

But that song feels so wrong, it feels so right - but it don't mean I'm in love tonight.

Should hope not. Get back in the kitchen and make me a pot pie, woman.

Sorry, dude. Sometimes my head gets so confused.

I really like that song from the VIZ 1998 DARKSTALKER'S REVENGE Animated Series ost, i think it's called 'BluffMan' (track 8?)

A nice, somber track to listen to when The Autumn is on the way..

Also just starting (finally!) to listen to SILENT HILL ZERO, is Yama-san still dating Melissa What's-Her-Name?

..Not totally impressed with it so far (i can't believe he put Led's 'Stairway To Heaven' in there!), but i'm definitely in love with Track 22 right now 'Drowning' (got it on Super-Repeat)

My biggest criticism of Nas was that he straddles the fence between socially conscious hip-hop and that radio-friendly, hip-pop trash.  I don't knock him for this anymore though, as I understand how great of a strategy it is.  I also wasn't a big fan of his beat selection, but he's certainly gotten a lot better in this regard.

I have always disliked IllMatic just because of the instrumental-style (too Soul-2-Soul for my taste) but It Was Wrightten is one of my favorite Edited rap cd's (so is the Edited version of Bone Thugs n' HARMONY's 1995 cd, i LOVE how they stylistically scratch out the swears on that one, too)

I recommend hunting down a copy of the BG Knocc Out & Gangsta Dre'sta 'Real Brothas' 1995 album, a true underground West Coast classic.. (costs about $50 due to rarity)

What is it with you and the year 1998, anyway??

I just picked up Cher's 1999 Greatest Hits album "If I Could Turn Back The Hands of Time" - and holy shit, there's this newly arranged version of Bang Bang (She Shot Me Down) featured that's absolutely kickin'.  By far THE best version of the song I've heard yet.

Most will probably get a chuckle out of what I've been listening to... Street Fighter Alpha 2 SNES game rip.

I don't know, for some reason I like how the SNES sound chip makes these tracks seem a little more rustic than the Arcade/PSX/Sat synth which almost seems too smooth to me. Of course, probably didn't hurt that I had the SNES version of the game a year or two before getting a PS1. Still kind of hurts shelling out $80 for a inferior cart version of $40 PS1/Saturn game in 1996 and only getting a mere $1.50 out of it a week ago in 2008.

btw, Charlie, Birdie, Gen and Ryu's themes just rock.

Currently listening to the first soundtrack to the anime "Emma." All instrumentals, beautiful piano, guitar, and other instruments. The fact that there are recorder versions of several songs has prompted me to bring out my recorder and try to pick my way through the opening theme, "Silhouette of a Breeze," and the Emma's theme. Not having much luck. Some of those high notes make me think they're actually using a flute and not a recorder. I want sheet music.

Previously on my playlist was Vanessa Carlton's CD "Be Not Nobody." Took a few listens before I got annoyed by her twang. I've been trying my derndest to listen to "Heroes of Mana," but something always gets in the way.
