I'd like to get some advice on making an apple pie...

Well, I've had this recipe on file for the longest time, but have yet to try it out:
 
"Perfect Apple Pie".... or so they say.

I love it when my cousin comes to visit from California, though - I make sure she brings me a Marie Callendar's pie every time she does.  ^_^

Actually, this is something I'd love to learn, too. I love baked goods!

But a bit of advice on making apple pie . . . I'm not sure if this is common practice, or not, but my mother has always added brown sugar and/or cinnamon to the whole thing, gives it a heartier, nostalgic, almost spicy taste.
