looks great, I'm thinking of importing it from Europe.
Any Americans know of a good source for importing European games? Between this, Tingle, and Echochrome (PSP), I'm inclined to want to do it.
Echochrome (PSP)
Don't want the $10 downloadable version?
Listen to Takada rock that fuckin' tropical beat!

I prefer things that are more tangible myself. So if I had a choice, I'd pick up the disk version.

ps So, is there a disk version coming out?

Only in Europe, and it has WAY more levels than any downloadable version, according to Wikipedia (like 300 or something). I also like having tangible games as well.

Damn skippy, son.

Damn Sony... what the hell are they thinking? Actually, seems to me like Sony & others are testing the waters to see what the reaction will be if games go entirely downloadable. I say screw that! With downloads it becomes impossible to share, trade, sell, clasp close to your heart... me no like! Well, downloads have their place, but yeah I want something tangible. So, will the European version be playable in the US?

Damn yeah! Hey dude, let me know if you need me to pick up this game. I know I'm gonna get it for my slick crimson red. ^_^
You know, despite how... 'strange' the Water ~for relaxing time~ soundtrack is, it's still one of my favorites. Really, it's nothing special at all; the composition is very basic, and besides that great F.S.R. vocal track, nothing else stands out. But for whatever reason, all of that music has grown on me, and I still listen to it.
Are we getting a new soundtrack for the DS game?
Are we getting a new soundtrack for the DS game?
GHM is going to release either Water & Shine or another OST for the game, according to an interview that Jayson Napolitano (Arcubalis) and I wrote for Takada back at GDC 2008. Here's an excerpt:
M4G: So I know there’s an upcoming remake of Flower, Sun, and Rain on the Nintendo DS. Are there any plans for a full soundtrack re-release? I know the original soundtrack was split into two discs, one of which is online, but the other one is very hard to find. I know many of your fans would like to hear your music from the game.
Takada-san: Yeah, actually we’ve started working on that release. The DS version will come out soon, so that’s why we’re re-releasing it.
For the record, those pricks over at M4G took Jayson's name off and replaced with "M4G Staff" because that's what mature, douchebaggy industry sites do to people that work hard for their sites and try to expand coverage past a bunch of snotty Americans with a bunch of string and wind ensemble samples. Maybe if I'm lucky they'll replace my name with "Balding Twenty-something that Still Lives at Home with His Parents".

I know NCSX is controversial around these parts since the whole Mario Galaxy credit card debacle, but as an FYI, they will be stocking the European DS version of Flower, Sun and Rain if anyone wants to get a non-Japanese copy.
I read earlier today that XSEED has another unannounced DS game coming up for the US, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that it's this.
